  (right-click >> save target as)   Polish Teacher is the first of what will hopefully be a series of tools which support the use of first language in teaching.  
 
      This resource includes a printable unit of work based on QCA unit 3f, as well as printable resources to support teaching, however, the main feature is the ability to instruct Polish children in their own language. At the click of a button, the computer will read out the learning objectives in Polish. Teachers also have the ability to play key vocabulary, explain scienctific concepts and ask key questions to challenge thinking - all in Polish.
 
      This is an ideal tool for teachers to use to support advanced bilingual learners, as well as those who are new to English.

Using Interactive Nouns, teachers and children can hear nouns from eight categories spoken out loud in their own language at the click of a button. The categories are: COLOURS; FRUIT; ANIMALS; FOOD; SCHOOL; NUMBERS; SHAPES; CIRCUITS.

'HOW TO USE INTERACTIVE NOUNS'
 
      Each category is presented as a set of interactive on-screen flashcards, and the sounds are activated by clicking on the text above or below the pictures. This is image rich resource combines text and sound to make sure your Polish pupils feel included and valued in your classroom.
 
  Within the resource is the option to print wall posters and/or flashcards of every noun seen on screen, as well as some structured collaborative learning tasks that require Polish and English pupils to work together. These tasks are: creating a picture dictionary; sorting/matching game. See the video for more information.
 
  This is an ideal tool for teachers to use with the whole class, and for children to use independently as a language teaching tool.
