  The New Arrivals Excellence Programme (NAEP) lays down a clear pathway for good practice for admitting New Arrivals. Although every effort must be made to ensure a skilled interpreter is involved with the admissions process, it is acknowledged that sometimes this is not possible. This resource has been put together for schools to use as a basis for good practice, and to enable first language provision when an interpreter cannot be found.
   
  In addition to providing a playable on-demand Polish translation of the admissions interview, this resource can be used to structure admissions interviews with interpreters. Embedded within this powerpoint resource are two printable booklets which have been designed to be used in conjunction with the Admissions Tool.
             
  The Polish version has been made possible by Nottinghamshire County Council Ethnic Minority & Traveller Support Team who funded the translation process. I am very grateful to them for allowing this resource to be distributed free of charge on this website. It is planned that this tool will be available in more languages in the coming months.
